Imarda team reaches 50 and counting!

Imarda is growing and the latest additions to the team have seen our company size surpass 50 employees. We sat down with some of the latest additions to get some more information.

Harry Twyford joins the Support team as a Sales and Customer Support Representative.

What excites you most about working at Imarda?

I get to be a part of a young and ambitious company that’s innovative and expanding right before my eyes. 

What are your pet peeves?

People who squeeze avocados in the supermarket, littering, and inadequate leg space.

PC or Mac? Why?

PC because I am a self-professed minesweeper extraordinaire. 

If you could have an unlimited storage of one thing, what would it be?

Dumplings or money, but probably dumplings.

 

John Chien joins our Engineering team as a Database Developer/Administrator.

Where have you been and what have you been doing before coming to Imarda?

I have been a database administrator for the last five years, and was excited by Imarda’s unlimited challenges and opportunities to learn and develop my skills.

What piece of technology could you not live without? Why?

Google search.

What's your motto in life?

You may fall so many times, but always stand up!

What is something you learned in the last week?

Never trust the weather forecast. “Light snow” turned out to be a snow storm on the mountain.

 

Greg Howard is a returning face at Imarda, this time as the Business Development Manager.

Welcome Greg! How does it feel to be back?

It’s great. It’s thrilling to see the company growing and I’m glad I get to take part! I’m looking forward to the platform growing in size and scope and ultimately being used in every market.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Fly planes and helicopters.

If you could have unlimited storage of one thing, what would it be?

Good health.

What’s your favourite thing about living and working in New Zealand?

Access to the great outdoors - a beach or a bush walk is only 10 minutes in any direction from work or home.

 

 Zsolt Talaber joins the Hardware team as an Mobile Development Engineer.

What excites you most about joining the Imarda team?

I've always been working between the two worlds where software and hardware meet, so I am looking forward to enhancing my experience in different aspects and methodologies.

What piece of technology could you not live without? Why?

VoIP (Voice over IP).Without it, it wouldn't be free to talk to family members on the other side of the planet.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Play the bass guitar.

If you could have unlimited storage of one thing, what would it be?

Spare time.
